Minnesota is one of the few remaining states that have an estate or inheritance tax.  Minnesota has a relatively low exemption from the estate tax ($3 million) and high estate tax rates (13% to 16%).  States that Minnesotan's most commonly move to (Florida, Arizona and Texas) have not estate or inheritance taxes.
