How Do Minnesota Tax Rates Stack Up

As the previous page demonstrates that the three primary taxes states typically impose (individual income, corporate income and sales taxes) Minnesota has relatively higher rates than most states.  In fact, the following map shows Minnesota is ranked ninth for state and local tax collections per capita during 2018.  Remember that the darker the color on the maps, the higher the tax burden is.
